🌤 Summer (April–June)

Clothing

  • 2–3 quick-dry full-sleeve T-shirts
  • 2 trekking pants (convertible preferred)
  • Lightweight fleece jacket; wind/rain shell
  • Cap/bandana; optional light thermals (high altitude nights)
  • UV sunglasses

Footwear

  • Waterproof ankle-support trekking shoes
  • 2 cotton + 2 wool socks; flip-flops for camp

Toiletries & Accessories

  • SPF 50+ sunscreen, lip balm, moisturizer
  • Biodegradable soap, toothbrush/paste, wipes
  • 2 L hydration; trekking pole(s); headlamp

Medicines

  • General: Paracetamol, Ibuprofen, ORS, band-aids, antiseptic cream
  • Specific: Cetirizine for pollen; Aloe gel for sunburn
  • Altitude: Diamox 125 mg (doctor-advised)

🌧 Monsoon (July–September)

Clothing

  • 2–3 synthetic quick-dry T-shirts
  • 2 waterproof trekking pants
  • Warm fleece/pullover; rain jacket/poncho (≥5000 mm)
  • Backpack rain cover; microfiber towel

Footwear

  • Waterproof high-ankle shoes + gaiters
  • Extra socks in waterproof bags

Toiletries & Accessories

  • Insect/leech repellent; waterproof pouch for phone/docs
  • Power bank; rainproof camera cover

Medicines

  • General: Paracetamol, Ibuprofen, ORS, cold tablets
  • Specific: Antifungal powder; salt spray for leeches
  • Doctor-guided: Doxycycline if prescribed

❄️ Winter (November–February)

Clothing — Layering

  • Base: Thermal top & bottom
  • Mid: 2 fleeces or wool sweaters
  • Outer: Down/padded jacket (-5 °C rated)
  • Bottoms: Insulated pants or thermals inside
  • Accessories: Wool cap, balaclava, neck gaiter, waterproof gloves + liners

Footwear

  • Insulated high-ankle boots
  • Micro-spikes/crampons if snow expected
